Hey,
Getting a new laptop tomorrow and I was wondering how long a should charge it for before switching it on. I read online that you only need to charge it until its full but I have heard you should charge it like you would with a new phone, about 8 hours or so. So which is it and would it be bad for my battery if I did charge it for 8 hours straight?
Thanks in advance.
I have had my laptop for a year give or take a few days (early xmas present) and keep getting reminders on my screen that the battery is ending its life??? Surely this is not normal? Do batteries have warranties?
How many hours does it run?
I just got a new laptop and I heard that one should remove the battery when the computer is plugged in to keep the battery from dying quickly. In my old laptop I left the battery in all the time, I don’t think I ever removed it.
Should I remove the battery when I have the computer plugged in? Should I just keep the battery in the computer all the time? Is there a difference?
I’m asking about the overall lifetime of the battery, not each individual recharge. I have read that lithium ion batteries in laptops can lose up to 20% of their max charge per year in a 77F enviroment.
Sorry, i ment to type C240, NOT 250.
I’m looking at laptops to purchase and the one I’m thinking of buying comes with a 28 WHr 4-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery. On average, how much time can I get out of a batter that size. Thanks!
how long does the battery last before it has to be charged again and does it vary from one laptop to the next?
if so how’s the battery life if u get the standard battery on an hp pavilion (im looking into the dv5z series)
also if anybody can give me any pointers on how to maximize battery life and prevent losing battery life as the battery gets older, it would be appreciated
